It's not really blackberry season here in Australia so I had to make do with frozen berries, but I loved how this recipe really gives them a chance to shine - almost literally in my case as they glisten glossily in the spring sunshine! I also substituted the crème fraîche, which can be hard to find here, with mascarpone, and the result was, I think, equally delicious.
