I have done this about 20 times know. I make the lemon curd as well and find it makes a big difference in lemon balance. It is always a huge a hit! It is very simple to make and always impresses and makes me look so professional I have also made it into a roll. I bake the base for around 20 min. The first 10 at 190 C and then the rest at 150 C already with the almonds on top (for this version i leave out the cornflour). Then, I allow it to cool for around 20 min as well, fill it with the curd, the cream, and roll! It is great as well!
