Bittersweet Orange Sorbet

Mix all the ingredients (except the liquor) and bring them to the boil. Let them simmer for an hour with covered lid. Let it cool and put it through a strainer. Add the liquor and put the mix in the fridge. When it's chilled: put it in a ice cream machine according to the instructions to turn it into a sorbet or in put it in the freezer to make a granita (stir it every now and then to brake the crystals). Served in shot glasses, it's enough for 6 to 8 people.

Introduction
This is a really nice thing to served as a starter. I made it to go with pate and ciabatta. Don't be put off if you haven't got an ice cream machine. Made as a granita, it's just as usable.
