Apple Banana Nut Bread

Introduction

Called a bread but tastes more like a light tea cake. Very delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients

Serves: -

  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cored and chopped apples
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

  • Preheat oven to 170C and grease 9x5 inch baking pan.
  • Cream butter and sugars, and beat in eggs. Stir in sour cream, banana and vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Gradually add to butter mixture. Gently stir in apples and nuts.
  • Spoon into loaf pan and bake for 1 hour.
