County Fair Lemon Bars

Preheat oven to 350 F. Melt butter in a 9 x 13 pan in oven. Mix 2 cups flour and confectioner's sugar. Pour into pan and stir with butter. Press down firmly. Bake 20 minutes. While crust is baking, mix together eggs and lemon juice. Sift together 2 cups sugar, 4 tablespoons flour, baking powder, and salt. Add sifted ingredients to eggs and lemon juice and mix until well blended. Pour mixture on top of baked crust while it's hot. Bake 25 minutes more. Remove and sift confectioner's sugar over top while still warm.
Introduction
I confess I normally dislike our American county/state fairs..but I entered this one year -my one and only submission ever.. and it won a blue ribbon!
