Hi, I wanted to include Bailey's in the beautiful Instant Chocolate Mousse by Nigella. When do you think I should add it in? Will any of the ingredients change if I add this? Thank You so much.
Our answer
Nigella's Instant Chocolate Mousse (from Nigella Express and on the Nigella website) is a made with a mixture of melted marshmallows and chocolate that is combined with whipped cream. It is possible to add some extra flavourings to the mousse and it is best to do this when whipping the cream.
If you are using UK double cream then we would suggest adding up to 4 tablespoons of liqueur (or less, according to taste) before whipping the cream to soft peaks. Outside of the UK if you are using whipping cream or heavy cream then first whip the cream to soft peaks, then whisk in the liqueur and vanilla.
