Full question
I’m really inspired to make my own Pizza and was pleasantly surprised to see the Crustless Pizza recipe. Please can you tell me if I can use semi-skimmed milk instead of full fat?
Our answer
Nigella's Crustless Pizza (from KITCHEN) is a fast and easy dish that is almost a savoury version of a Dutch baby, except that the batter contains cheese and should not puff up as much as a Dutch baby or a Yorkshire pudding.
Our preference is for full fat (whole) milk as it makes a slightly richer base that doesn't puff up too much. However, if you only have semi-skimmed (reduced fat) milk in your fridge then it should be fine to use as an alternative and you would just use the same volume as for full fat milk. We would avoid using skimmed (non-fat) milk as it is slightly too watery.
