Chocolate Nutella Cheesecake

Full question
Hi. I made the Nutella Cheesecake but tried adding a chunk of dark chocolate along with the Nutella mixture. I have used an ounce of butter to melt the chocolate. Will the cheesecake would be fine despite the butter? Should I freeze it overnight?
Our answer
Nigella's Nutella Cheesecake (from Nigellissima and on the Nigella website) has a filling simply made from Nutella, cream cheese and icing (confectioners') sugar. This mixture may look slightly runny when first mixed but should firm up in the fridge overnight. The cheesecake will not be as firm as a baked cheesecake so it is best to slice and serve the cheesecake direct from the fridge.
If you have added melted chocolate and a little butter to the cheesecake filling then this should, if anything, help the filling to set a little more firmly when fully chilled. You could probably just add melted dark/bittersweet chocolate to the mixture but make sure that the filling mixture is not cold as otherwise it will be difficult to mix the melted chocolate in smoothly. If the filling is cold then the chocolate will set in small chunks as it hits the cold filling.
