Chocolate Pistachio Fudge in Freezer
Asked by carolathome. Answered on 6th February 2016
Full question
How long will the Chocolate Pistachio Fudge keep, if frozen to be eaten direct from the freezer?
Our answer
Nigella's Chocolate Pistachio Fudge (from Nigella Express and on the Nigella website) is an easy fudge made from melted chocolate and condensed milk. You do not need to worry about boiling the mixture but it does mean that the fudge is softer in texture than a boiled version.
It is very good if stored in the freezer and eaten from frozen. Once firm the fudge should be cut into pieces and the pieces stacked in resealable boxes, with layers of baking parchment (parchment paper) in between the layers of fudge. The fudge pieces will be at their best if eaten within 1 month of freezing, though will keep for up to 3 moths.
