I cannot stand the taste of coconut and want to know if cocoa butter would work to replace coconut butter for the frosting on the Dark And Sumptuous Chocolate Cake.

Nigella's Dark And Sumptuous Chocolate Cake (from SIMPLY NIGELLA) is a vegan cake made with coconut oil in the cake and coconut butter in the frosting. As the cake and frosting are flavoured with chocolate you don't get a lot of coconut flavour with the cake, but the coconut oil in the cake can be replaced with a vegetable oil instead.
We have not tried using cocoa butter for the frosting so we are not sure if it would be a good replacement, though we would avoid using coconut oil as it affects the way the frosting sets. However it is possible to replace the coconut butter with the equivalent amount of vegan margarine instead. Both the vegetable oil and vegan margarine substitutes are mentioned in the introduction to the recipe. If you are not vegan or dairy intolerant then you could also use regular unsalted butter as an alternative.
