Our answer

Nigella's cheesecakes fall into two categories. There are the baked cheesecakes, such as the Chocolate Lime Cheesecake (from Nigella Bites), the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake, the Pumpkin Cheesecake, the Gleaming Maple Cheesecake plus several others. These have thinner batters that include eggs and are cooked in a water bath until set.

Nigella does also have some no-bake cheesecake recipes and these do not contain eggs. Sometimes no-bake cheesecakes have a high proportion of cream cheese, which means that they will set easily in the fridge. But we would particularly recommend the White Chocolate Cheesecake, which is a combination of cream cheese, whipped cream and melted white chocolate. The white chocolate gives a creamy vanilla flavour to the cheesecake and also helps it to set to a delicate, almost mousse-like texture. The Nutella Cheescake has a rich flavour but a light consistency as it uses chocolate-hazelnut spread to flavour and help set the cheesecake. The Cherry Cheesecake has a more traditional unbaked cheesecake filling of cream cheese and whipped cream. It is topped with a black cherry spread for ease (as it is a NIGELLA EXPRESS recipe), but you could easily replace this with a store-bought or home-made fruit compote of your choice.
