Our answer

Nigella's Cider And 5-Spice Bundt Cake (from SIMPLY NIGELLA is baked in a 10-cup (2.5 litre) bundt pan. Bundt pans can be quite intricate and you need to make sure that all of the nooks and crannies are thoroughly greased to help the cake to release. Some bundt pans have a non-stick surface, so make sure this has not been scratched or damaged in any way. If the pan has a non-stick coating then it may also help to quickly oil the pan again just before you add the batter, as sometimes the oil can slip off the coating.

If the pan has been used several times you can get a build up of oil or non-stick spray residue in the crevices and this can often cause cakes to stick even if the pan has been thoroughly greased. It can help to give the pan an extra clean by filling it with very hot water and adding a good squirt of washing up liquid (dish soap) and leaving it to soak for several hours. Drain and clean the inside with a non-scratch brush or sponge, paying special attention to the crevices. If there seems to be some residue still left then use some bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) and a soft cloth to clean it off. Rinse well with plenty of hot water and dry.
