Quest for a Round Roasting Pan

Full question
I was rewatching an episode of Kitchen and was wondering where Nigella sourced the round roasting pan she used to cook the Roast Dug Legs with Potatoes? (It was also used for her fabulous looking Toad in the Hole). I haven't been able to find a similar round pan that is useable on both the hob and in the oven. Thanks, Liz
Our answer
The pan used by Nigella for the Roasted Duck Legs With Potatoes (from Kitchen) and in several other recipes, including the Toad In The Hole, is actually a tart tatin tin. These pans have been designed for the classic French dessert of caramelized apples and pastry and so can handle both the direct heat of the hob and the indirect heat of the oven. They are also a good size to serve as a small rpasting pan.
Nigella's own pan is a copper one that she has had for a long time and it is roughly 24cm/10 inches in diameter and about 5cm/2 inches deep. There is a similar model made by the French company Mauviel and it is available on-line in the UK and US. The copper versions are unfortunately a little expensive (though wear very well) but several similar pans can be found in other metals and are available on-line. As examples we would suggest looking at the Silverwood tart tatin tin (available in both 20cm/8 inch and 26cm/11 inch sizes) or the non-stick tart tatin tin available from Lakeland in the UK, but other models are available.
