Our answer

Nigella's Slow-Cooker Lamb And Pasta is a dish that is cooked in one pot in a slow-cooker. The meat sauce is made with ground lamb and tomatoes and is slightly sweetened with redcurrant jelly, which is a traditional accompaniment to lamb. It would be possible to use quince jelly as an alternative to redcurrant jelly, however we would emphasise that it must be quince jelly and not membrillo, or quince paste.

As the dish is cooked in a slow-cooker the sauce is left to cook gently for 6 hours and the pasta is added towards the end of the cooking time. Because of the gentle cooking process the cooking time stays pretty much the same even with a half quantity of ingredients. The sauce may take a little time less to cook but the pasta will take the same amount of time.
