The Spring Chicken looks a lovely dish to try during lockdown. What do you suggest I serve it with?

Nigella's Spring Chicken (from KITCHEN) is a braised chicken dish made with chicken thighs on the bone that are cooked with cider. However it could just as easily be made with a combination of drumsticks and thighs or a large jointed chicken, if these options are easier to find. Just check that the chicken is completely cooked through before you serve it.
As the chicken and cider cook they create a delicious sauce that is fairly thin in consistency. It would be best to eat it with something that can soak up all of the delicious liquor. Rice or mashed potatoes would be a good option, or some steamed baby potatoes that can then be crushed into the sauce on the plate. If you are pushed for time then serve the Spring Chicken in wide bowls with good, crusty bread that can be dunked into the sauce. As the dish includes lettuce and peas, it is not particularly necessary to serve another green vegetable alongside.
