Full question
Do you serve the Coxinha with any sauces? Or with a squeeze of lemon or mayo/aioli or on their own?
Our answer
Nigella's Coxinha are smaller, cocktail-sized versions of the popular Brazilian street food dish. They are a little like croquettes, though the chicken filling is encased within a soft dough. The unique shape is supposed to resemble a chicken drumstick, hence the name coxinha.
In Nigella's experience she has not known the coxinhas to be eaten with any particular accompaniment. However, you can of course eat them with any condiment you like, either store-bought or homemade.
