Our answer

Nigella's Roast Seafood (from KITCHEN) is a luxurious one-pan dish that includes prawns (shrimp), squid and clams. Ideally you would be able to buy these from a good fishmonger or fresh fish counter in a supermarket (though unfortunately UK supermarkets are generally cutting down on in-store counters).

You can buy frozen raw prawns and baby squid or squid rings in many larger UK supermarkets. You can also buy these fresh and frozen from some on-line sellers, though unfortunately we can't recommend any particular source. Clams are more difficult as most of the clams sold chilled and frozen on line tend to be precooked. You could use mussels instead of clams, but again unless you buy them direct from a fishmonger then most of the mussels sold will be precooked. If you want to use precooked clams or mussels then we suggest adding them for the last 5 minutes of cooking, so that they just heat through. If you are using frozen seafood then we suggest that you defrost it before use, following the instructions on the packaging. You may also like to try Nigella's Speedy Seafood Supper, which uses frozen, mixed seafood.
