This was a moist and delicious cake...a truly decadent Fall dessert. I didn't have walnuts on hand so I used dried, pitted dates. I also replaced half the butter in the cake with one apple and yogurt. As for the frosting, since I didn't have walnuts to garnish I made an espresso swirled butter cream. I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome, and my family absolutely love it!
