I make Nigella's Devil's Food Cake quite often (for obvious reasons) but I baked this yesterday for my best friend's 25th birthday. I normally spend the whole day with her, but this year I had to work, so I made this cake for her to enjoy on her special day. I stuck to the original recipe, as I don't think it needs any improvements! I took more time with the frosting to get the sides nice and smooth. I sprinkled white chocolate stars and red glitter sugar over the top and finished it all off with a birthday candle to make it extra special! Needless to say, she absolutely loved it! X
