I don't celebrate christmas, but something about the snowy icing sugar and the woodsy dark chocolate made me want to make it. Maybe because we don't have snow and/or woods, I just wanted to join in on the party, if only vicariously. I made the cake in a quarter sheet pan, and decorated with white-chocolate cookie crumbs [for an added texture of the snowy ground] and strawberry leaves ['tis the season here]. And of course, some sugary snow..
