The darkly decadent and squidgy throne of this cake with its frothy and creamy crown bring all nostalgic memories of Irish dancing as a child at the Guinness-loving pub in my hometown, with a twinge of excitement not unlike that inspired by a chocolate birthday cake. Enchanting, and thoroughly enjoyed by the boyfriend and his parents (as you can see). Thank you, Nigella!!
