Many many moons ago, I was tempted to enter the cookalong, and these gorgeous hotcakes tempted me again. Deliciously fluffy, like a cloud of sweetish-savoury delight. Strawberries are usually hair-raisingly sour here, so I opted for Peckham pears roasted in butter and a healthy topping of smoked, salty bacon - the perfect combination of sweet and salty. Yum!
