We made our own version of this a couple of months ago and never even realised Nigella had a great recipe for it all along! We made it in the spring for Pancake Tuesday and served with a stewed apples and date mix and drizzled with golden syrup (semi-inspired by Nigella's love of thunder and lightning atop fresh scones!)
