I baked a Blackberry Galette from Nigella's classic "How to Be a Domestic Goddess and -- taking inspiration from the book's premise -- tailored the recipe to reflect my tastes. I updated the galette with a few accessible ingredients: I used Madagascar vanilla bean infused sugar instead of granulated, added a light dusting of Vietnamese cinnamon, and gently covered the galette with confectioner's sugar for extra oomph! Simple yet totally luxurious.
