Here is my attempt at Nigella’s Halloween Cake. I have decorated it with what were supposed to be marshmallow fondant pumpkins - but I was promptly told by my harsh panel of judges that they looked more like oranges. I think context is important in this case. However, the ambiguity is perhaps quite appropriate, given I experimented with the icing and made a chocolate ganache instead, using Whittaker’s Mandarin and Ginger Dark Chocolate - which Nigella promotes here in New Zealand.
