I chose to add not cocoa but melted chocolate because I like seeing the swirls, also, I prefer the crunch that is provided by "building" the meringue spoon by spoon instead of making one layer. My garden is full of blackberries and strawberries, so I used them instead of buying raspberries. It's a slightly different approach from the given recipe but I ended up with a totally flavorfull dessert!
