I received a gift of a KitchenAid mixer this week and decided to try out the kuchen recipe as my first test of the new toy! I've a small kitchen so I usually avoid recipes that require kneading dough, but the mixer cuts out that problem! There was a mysterious shortage of blackberries in Dublin this week so I had to use raspberries instead, but it turned out absolutely delicious regardless. Like a cross between a sweet bread and a crumble!
