I made the recipe for the cookie dough exactly as written which produced a great dough that was easy and forgiving to roll out and cut. I used some crushed boiled candy to make stained glass cut outs in some of the larger pumpkins. I used powdered egg whites for the royal icing, otherwise keeping it the same as well. The cookies are a big hit at my nephew's Halloween party!
