It was the perfect ‚make ahead‘ birthday cake! I made all the components the night before, including the lemon curd, and simply assembled the cake an hour before the guests arrived. That way I had a wonderfull stress free and relaxing bday morning with my kids... (tasted great! I will make it again for my daughter’s birthday, this time we‘ll give the passionfruit curd a try...).
