My Mum makes homemade lemon curd every Christmas, pots and pots of it. The opening of the last pot is the sign that Christmastime and Winter is truly over. I made this recipe with the last of Mum's lemon curd to mark the end of Winter and the welcome arrival of Spring. I love that the cake stand is a perfect match - as if it was made with Nigella's glorious pav' in mind.
