I followed the recipe down to a T and the cake came out great! As Halloween is not very big in the Netherlands it was difficult to find good candy so I soon decided to make my own decorations. However, as I don't like the flavour of fondant or marzipan I decided to use another of Nigella's recipes; her creepy cookies. I iced them in different colours and put them on top using chocolate icing. Around the cake I put some oreo cookie 'soil' and put in some candy eyeballs to make the cake even more Halloweeny. The result is my meisterwork, which is completely edible and totally delicious.
