I followed the cake and icing recipe as given but altered the decorations by using black sanding sugar alongside black and orange nonpareils. I then stretched melted marshmallows across the top of the cake to create a web look and finished the whole thing with a candied apple. It was a lot of fun to decorate and tasted delicious!
