One of the main reasons I decided to try this tangerine cake, is because I had never before boiled tangerines and then made a puree with them. The result is amazing! I loved the classic combination of almonds with citrus, and to spice it a little bit, I decided to add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and ¼ teaspoon anise seeds. Yummy!
