This! Cake! Is! Awesome! I'm still trying to get to grips with my new oven (Christmas was interesting) so I was a little apprehensive at how this would turn out but it came out perfectly. It's so damp and squidgy and unctious! I'm a bit of a nut for frosting so, as much as I love the contrast of having the bright, snowy icing sit on top of the deep, ebony black-brown of the cake, I made a little extra to slather round the sides too. Finished off with a (really quite liberal) dusting of cocoa and this is a cake worthy of a good knees up. Needless to say, it did not last long...
