Thank you Nigella for this fantastic recipe. I love Guinness & love making this wonderful cake, which is requested often for birthdays. I add extra Draught Guinness to the recipe for a deeper Guinness flavour, then I add an extra small egg to balance the batter mix. For the topping, I like to add melted Gelatine to the icing so it is pipeable.
