Hot Cross Bun Ice-Cream Sandwich Home-made hot cross bun with Tin Roof Ice-cream from Woolies. This was my second attempt at making hot cross buns and They came out better and more delicious than my first batch. Because my butter was hard, I gradually heated up some milk and melted the butter inside, then cooled it before adding to my dough. I also used equal amounts of golden syrup and water as a glaze.
