My first attempt at hot cross buns, as I am only 13 and it is was my first try and I think they came out pretty well. I love how Nigella infuses the milk and butter with cardamom and cloves and they filled my kitchen with a deliciously aromatic sweet-smelling scent. My buns differ to Nigella's as I added half the orange zest with half of a lemon, I proved them in a warm environment and glazed them with a sticky apricot jam. My family and I thought these were delicious.
