This was my first time making a Yule log. I used a kitchen scale to measure all of the ingredients because I wanted to measure in grams instead of cups and ounces. I decided to stay traditional and I didn’t change anything in the recipe. I was nervous enough about the execution and I didn’t want to complicate things. Mine came out moist and delicious. My husband, who insists on adding nuts to literally EVERY chocolate dessert, said that this was delicious as is and needed not one thing more. Seriously, that says A LOT about Nigella’s recipe! Perfection doesn’t need tweaking. Thank you, Nigella, for this amazing creation. It will now be a staple in our household every Christmas.
