Custard Creams! Such a classic biscuit, a throw back to my childhood biscuit barrel for sure! Who’d have thought they are so easy to whip up! As with so many of Nigella’s recipes it’s speedy, fuss free & delicious. The first batch was devoured before I could take a photo! Since then I’ve made two further batches. I substituted the boiling water for brandy and added two strawberries and a dot of pink gel icing colour for an adult valentines twist (this didn’t really change the flavour too much, but looked pretty) I also added a drop of pink gel to the dough on my third batch - don’t do this! It spoilt the look and just looked like dirty sand! This recipe will be one I’ll keep returning to time and again.
