Currently on lockdown in Piemonte, Italy and this is my third batch of these babies in a week! Delivered some to my Norwegian neighbours who were very impressed! For the ones in the picture I have added sultanas to the filling. These didn’t rise as much during the proving stage as the first two batches - probably to do with the fact I didn’t put all the egg/milk into the mix as I thought the first two were a bit wet and hard to handle as a dough, but turns out I think you do need all the egg/milk mixture, and probably somewhere warmer for the proving (this batch was done in the morning and the house was cooler). Nigella is making self-isolation thoroughly enjoyable!
