Mine didn't crack or sink like the recipe, instead it fell apart magnificently into many pieces, too many to stick back together. Defeated, I just dolloped clotted cream on top (couldn't find double cream) and dusted it with cocoa powder. Made a nest to hold the eggs as the cake (and myself) was too shattered to do so. It was delicious still!
