This cake was a breeze to make! I was so glad. With all the whipped egg whites I was worried I'd overdone it and the cake would be flat but it turned of lovely and bouncy. For the "nest" I tried my hand at fancy piping but I accidently overwhipped the cream so it was a bit of a nightmare. I'll add "learn cake decorating" to my quarantine to-do list. The piping looks pretty in the photo as I disguised it with mini eggs and unicorn glitter! This cake kept us going for a few days before Easter and I also packaged some up to leave on a friends doorstep as it was her mum's birthday.
