This was the first time I attempted making my own scones and the recipe was incredibly easy to follow. I was unable to source cream of tartar so swapped it out for some baking powder instead (in keeping with the 'make do' approach). I also baked my own strawberry jam (also a first) and my zesty twist on it was adding in the juice of half a lime. The scone's went down a treat. As you can see, we are of the jam first ilk, sorry Devon!
