I chose to make mine as a loaf cake. I used flat beer, Carlsberg to be exact. Cooked it 10 mins on high temperature 209 then lowered it to 170 for another 50 minutes, until firm underneath. It came out tall and bursting with flavour. The entire house smells like a bakery. Can’t wait to top it with real butter and raspberry jam.
