This was everything I wanted my first time with a fruit tart to be. The effort to payoff ratio is highly favorable. Although now, I see the thick crust as a reflection of a novice's natural lack of confidence. But was it really the crust that was vulnerable to crumbling or my ego? I went ahead and made a slight fuss with some powdered sugar and lemon zest, but spent so much time posing this tart, my flourishes vanished. It was delicious. I will make it again.
