I made the cake in a stand mixer as I don’t have a food processor. I used green food colouring in the icing as I had no black - it turned out browny-green. I made the figures - two witches, Count Dracula, a cat, a ghost, a pumpkin, and a spider, as well as a cauldron on a fire, from rolling fondant and cocktail sticks; the cauldron is filled with red goo (icing made from icing sugar, water, and red food colouring gel) - but the witches appear to have had an accident and the cauldron has boiled over, splashing everywhere with the goo (that was deliberate on my part). I have also sprinkled with some chocolate vermicelli sprinkles and used silver balls for the figures’ eyes.
