The wariness was on their face as I served my family a slice of the Gleaming Maple Cheesecake. Silence. A bite- the Mmm - "Quite lovely" exclamations and then praises. It was a success!! You see, I had replaced their always requested , always present Cheesecake with raspberry sauce for Thanksgiving with the decadent Gleaming Maple Cheesecake. I made the recipe as written to understand the intended flavors. Lucky me, I had homemade Maple syrup from friends in Canada that was luscious. Love it
