I don't really have the right tools to make a perfect bain marie (not the right tray) so I am not sure if that played a role in the lower level of the cake in the center. Anyway, it was then perfect for gather some mapple syrup in the center who would then ooze the rest of the cake after cutting. I added some caramel shards for decoration.
