I was really excited while making this autumn-like dessert. I wanted to change it a bit into summer-like piece of cake. So I used more lemon juice and added dried apricots (I chopped it and put it in the cream). Lots of it! I mixed pecans and home forged walnuts for the base and didn't grind it finely in order to achieve more crunchy texture. I must confess to using more than 4 eggs ... rather as 5 as I got them from my chickens and had plenty of them. I also added a bit more maplesyrup (instead of 125 ml I added approximately 30 ml more in order to create a bit more contrast to sour lemon juice and sooth it out). On top I put slices of lemon and some dried apricots. Anyways - I loved it and grandmother also.
