My husband asked what these cookies are and my explanation had him dubbing them the ‘pretentious’ cookies. I came back to take a photo and one was suspiciously missing. Needless to say he loved them and so do I! I used ground almonds that I already had on hand, added a cheeky splash of vanilla... and filled them with the loveliest cherry preserves.
